A Reflection

As Women's History Month winds down, I reflect on all the strong women who came before us to create a good life for women. Yes, we can vote and have our political opinions heard. Yes, we can work in careers not defined by our gender roles. Yes, we can sit at the head of a table of men and lead beautifully.

When women's status in society was transforming, I can only imagine the immense challenges and obstacles that the leaders of the Women's Movement had to face. It must have been an incredibly arduous journey for them, filled with sleepless nights spent worrying about the future of their cause; tears shed over the injustices and discrimination faced by women, moments of self-doubt as they questioned their ability to bring about change, and resistance from those who opposed their movement. Despite all of these difficulties, the leaders of the Women's Movement persevered and fought tirelessly for gender equality, paving the way for future generations of women to enjoy the rights and opportunities that they benefit from today.

All women can bring about positive change, not only in their own lives but also in the lives of future generations. Here are some essential tips to keep in mind:

1. Take time for self-care and self-compassion, and prioritize your needs, as you are an example to other women.

2. Remember that God has put you in your position for a reason. Trust the path that you are on to make a difference in the world.

3. Do not settle for anything less than what you want to achieve.

4. Speak your truth loudly and confidently.

5. Set boundaries with those who don't share your vision.

For all my sisters, please know that you are not alone in your journey of positive change. I am available to assist you if you require support.
